Thyagaraja, of the Trinity of Carnatic music, was named after Lord Thyagaraja, the primary idol of the temple at Thiruvarur. At the age of eight, Thyagaraja penned ‘Namo Namo Raghavaya Anisham’ in Raga Desikathodi.
• Muthuswami Dikshitar is the youngest members of the Carnatic music composers’ trinity. He obtained authority over the veena, and the power of this musical instrument is manifest in his works.
• Shyama Shastri, of the Trinity of Carnatic music, became a famous and esteemed musician, scholar and a composer. He was greatly respected by his colleague, Thyagaraja and it seems that the pair often conducted academic and prolonged debates on their latest compositions
